Community

We recognise the potential impact of our mining operations and strive to involve communities in our plans.  Unimin also encourages all our operations to support people and projects within their communities. This local approach ensures that resources are allocated to worthwhile and relevant initiatives.

The forms of support are as many and varied as the communities in which we operate. They include charitable donations, provision of product and access to equipment for local community groups, sponsorship of local sporting groups and access to sites for students.  In addition, some operations have established specific community consultative committees to enable Unimin to engage in formal dialogue with community stakeholders.
